I know I didn't write anything yesterday...sorry! I was busy, busy, busy!
The garage sale didn't make me as much as I had hoped, but my treats sold great! Almost everybody who visited bought some. The dog treats sold the best, I only sold one bag of cat treats. I'm really hoping to have some repeat business. It went better than I expected!
I didn't get a chance to check the status of my other projects yesterday so I'm about to go do that now. I honestly don't think they're doing that great. I'm expecting around $50, but not much more than that. Not as good as I'd like from the other things, but the treats more than make up for it.
I might not need the money by the date I set below now. Things have changed and we may be moving into a less expensive place and I might have a "job" that will be helping out a friend anyways. But I don't want to give up on this, mostly just to see what works and what doesn't. Who knows? Maybe someone else could really benefit from this.
I appreciate all the support and suggestions I've received. Thanks! And please continue to send me your ideas, I appreciate it :)
Thanks!

Well, day one didn't go too well. Not too many people showed up and most didn't buy anything. There was one lady who was really annoying and rude. She'd pick stuff up from the $0.25 box to look at then stick it over with the $1.00 items. Rearranging after her was annoying. And she always said everything was overpriced. But she bought a lot so it works out.
All in all, we came away with a total of around $75 today. I still have all of my high priced items left, so I hope those will sell soon.
I also have an idea! I'm going to make yummy pet treats tonight and stick them out there for sale tomorrow. It's a win-win. My cat's birthday is coming up so I need something for her anyways, and this could hopefully generate a bit of money for me. Let's hope!

I've come up with a few ideas for making some cash. First is a garage sale. I figure I can get rid of old junk while getting some extra money all at the same time. I'm having it here at my mom's house and so far I've got around $200 worth of stuff set aside for that so far and I've still got a few more things I need to price out. I'm sure I won't sell it all, but I'm hoping to come away with at least $150 from this. It starts tomorrow and will go through Saturday. My mom also is putting a lot of stuff out for it too.
My other idea was to contact online stores to see if I could help them contact potential customers for a cut of the sale amount. I've contacted a couple of places so far and I'm just waiting to hear back from them *crosses fingers*.
I'm also selling designs on CafePress.com. Here's one of my stores for that:
http://www.cafepress.com/treehuggerstick There's links to my other stores from there. I've already made around $15 there.
I'm searching for a lot of money making ideas online and one suggested finding a hobby you have that's somewhat time consuming that people might pay you to do. So I've decided to put together scrapbooks for people. I know a lot of people have tons of pictures that they've collected over the years that they don't have the time to put into a really cute and meaningful scrapbook, so I'm offering to do that. If there's anyone who needs a scrapbook done up, let me know :)
I also still need advertisers and more money making ideas...so help me out please! Thanks!

Okay, here's the deal. My name is Tiffany and I need money. Why? Well, because my boyfriend and I are moving into our own place (finally) and he's the only one working. I don't want him to do all the work (because that simply wouldn't be fair) so I'm going out to get a job. Well, I hate typical jobs. Who doesn't? So I've made it a goal to earn $1,000 by August 30. If I can do that, I obviously won't need a traditional job. My boyfriend has given me his full support to try this out. We both really want this to succeed and I really don't want to let him down.
Now, there's the background story.
I'm not exactly sure how I plan to do this. The first thing I thought to do was the publish this blog to record my success or failure so others could learn from it and hopefully make money without working a crappy minimum wage job.
This blog is my first step to success. I'm hoping to use this blog to not only help others, but also myself. If I can get enough of a following I'm hoping online stores will advertise here (I've already got a couple considering it...they just want to see if I can develop enough of a following first). So I need your help.
I'm offering two contests.
The first is for anyone who's interested. All you have to do is advertise this blog anyway you can think of. Record what you did, where you did, how you did it, and take a picture. E-mail all that to omg_ineedmoney@yahoo.com. You can send in as many entries as you like, but each entry can only go over what you did one day.
Example:
8a.m. Passed out fliers at the local mall
10a.m. Posted a lot of bullitens on MySpace
1p.m. Asked online stores to advertise with your blog (list stores)
7p.m. Collected loose change from family and friends to send to you and told them about blog
Include picture of handing out fliers at mall or collecting change, ect.
That's just an example, do whatever you want! The grand prize is $25 cash. Second and third places will get $5 cash. Winner will be chosen August 31.
Now for the second contest. This one is for advertisers. I'm willing to advertise almost anything on this blog (other blogs, online stores, individuals, ect.) for a very low fee. Anyone who advertises with me will be entered to win $25 cash. Second and third places will get a free advertisment. Winners will be chosen August 31.
I appreciate any help I can get. Ideas are great, so if you've got them, please tell me! Tell your friends about this. Keep watching this. Feel free to use any ideas from this blog to help yourself get some money.
